View released results
This guide is for people who receive results rather than run surveys: viewers, subscribers, and survey takers whose organization has shared results with them.
Where to find your results
Section titled “Where to find your results”Where results appear depends on your role:
- Viewers sign in and open the survey from the account workspace; the results page is the part you have access to.
- Subscribers sign in and land on a subscriber portal listing every survey result you hold a grant for. Open one to view it.
- Survey takers see a results button on their survey dashboard next to a survey once its results have been released to takers.
In every case, sign in with the email address your access was granted to. Results only appear after the organization has released them; if a survey is missing, it usually hasn’t been released to your audience yet.
Reading the results page
Section titled “Reading the results page”Results are organized into tabs:
- Benefits: every non-wage question, with charts and data tables, grouped by survey section.
- Compensation: aggregated wage data per occupation, with ranges and typical values.
- Trends: year-over-year comparisons, shown when the survey is linked to earlier editions you can also access.
- Businesses: the participation list, if the organization chose to share it. Some columns may be hidden.
If the organization enabled filters, you can narrow the charts by criteria such as organization type or size. Selections within one question broaden the match (“either value”); selections across different questions narrow it (“must match all”).
Everything you see is aggregated
Section titled “Everything you see is aggregated”You are never looking at a single company’s answers. Every number combines responses across businesses, and a safe harbor rule withholds any question answered by fewer businesses than the survey’s privacy threshold. Those questions appear marked Below threshold with “Results hidden to preserve respondent anonymity” instead of data; that’s the system protecting respondents, not an error.
Each question also carries a confidence label: High confidence means a sample well above the threshold; Low confidence means the result cleared the threshold but the sample is small, so treat it as directional.
What you can’t do
Section titled “What you can’t do”Released access is read-only. You can’t see individual responses, hidden columns, withheld questions, or export the data; exports are limited to the organization’s own team.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”I can’t see any results
Section titled “I can’t see any results”Confirm you’re signing in with the email your access was granted to, and ask the organization whether results have been released to your audience yet. Releases happen manually, sometimes weeks after a survey closes.
A survey I could see last year is missing this year
Section titled “A survey I could see last year is missing this year”Subscriber grants are per survey. A new year’s edition needs a new grant; contact the organization that manages your subscription.
A question says results are hidden
Section titled “A question says results are hidden”Fewer businesses answered it than the survey’s safe harbor threshold allows. There’s nothing to unlock; the data is withheld for everyone outside the survey team.
